hockeykid
Hey everyone! For the past hour I have been experiencing a really strange eye pain, it feels like it is on the eye and it is a stabbing feeling. It has gotten worse over the past half hour and I have called my doctor and they are going to try to get me in in a little while. I was wondering if anyone else gets this and what they do for it. Thanks!

ariella
hiI've had stabbing eye pain in the past and am being followed by a good opthomologist. He says it is either from dry eyes or from eye pressure. Both things were taken care of and I don't have the pain anymore. Dysautonomia apparently can cause both. persephone
certain migraines can cause sharp pain around or above one eye- but i don't know if they actually involve pain inthe eye itself....let us know how you get on
hockeykid
The pain suddenly subsided and hasn't occured since. If it occurs again I will have it checked out. Sounds like it could be a dysautonomia thing. Thanks for your input!
MightyMouse
I've had pain just above and behind my eye from migraine. If you do a google search on eye pain, one of the first ones is from Medline. Here's the linkhttp://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003032.htmNina
