Curious what medication supplements and therapies have worked for you? MTRJ75
I did a few infrared sauna sessions and threw up after each one. I assume it's the same reason I have major issues after showers. I think extreme changes in temp/humidity get me either way. Glad it helps you though.

LTCBL
Has anyone had success with addressing erectile dysfunction?
MomtoGiuliana
From my knowledge, many POTS patients do not do well in heat bc the vasodilation increases symptoms. Some patients take midrodrine which causes blood vessels to constrict, improving symptoms. I know that I do not tolerate hot/warm showers when I am in a flare--and typically feel faint during and after showering (for example). But it is also true that with dysautonomia there is rarely a one size fits all approach.
SheilaB
Cold (just feeling cold - not necessarily being in a cold place) sends me into fight, flight, freeze mode. Panic, can’t think, very reactive.
kaevne
I'm on midodrine and I've had PCPs tell me that while ED is not officially on symptoms, but 100% I feel that it causes it. My PCP said she can see it having an affect just based on how midodrine works. The half-life of midodrine is around 6 hours, I believe. The dropoff on affecting ED feels like within the first 2 hours, no matter how much you want it, it's impossible to keep it up and going. Don't know, just my 2c and I'm really glad other men on this forum are seeing the same issue so I'm not crazy.
MaineDoug
Dysautonomia certainly can affect the erectile mechanism. It has caused my ED. But it’s no match for Viagra/Sudenafil, thank goodness! I’ve lost enough function already! Cold makes me feel ill, shivering. But Heat is worse for me, sweating, flushing, pre syncope, confusion, increasing HR and BP. Fortunately I live in Maine, but I’m still in air conditioning anytime it’s over 70 F.
Phil K
Still waiting on official diagnosis from specialist, but yeah. Only been sick/bedbound for a month, but the good days usually coincide with mornings I awake aroused or partially aroused. It is very weird waking up flaccid. Not the norm, and currently no energy to participate in intimacy. Not 100% sure how my body would respond.
