Tachy Phlegming
I have leg weakness too. It feels more obvious at some times than others. Mestinon can help remediate the problem.
issie
I almost hate to mention this because I know you're a "pro" when it comes to autonomic disorders but have you ever tried Mestinon? I've read that it is suppossed to help leg weakness and my daughter was on it for a year or so.BrendaI know very little about this drug, except that it made me feel crazy, I got really angry and agitated when I tried it. I looked it up to see what it was for. On Widipedia it says that it has been associated with Gulf War Syndrome. It was given to help with possible nerve toxins - but has now been associated with possibly causing the Gulf War Syndrome. I don't think the study is completely conclusive - but I really don't want those type symptoms on top of everything else. Even if it may help with muscle weakness - the other possible outcomes - don't seem worth it.
firewatcher
Since I didn't test "positive" for Myasthenia Gravis, they wouldn't prescribe Mestinon for me. I asked. BTW, I'm a POTS-info-junkie (Google-a-holic,) not a pro. Edited September 17, 2010 by firewatcher
