gdomaracki
Since friday, i have been experiencing an elevated resting heart rate around 100-110 bpm. Then when I stand up, it obviously goes up even higher. I am also having wierd chest discomfort/pain. These spells of tachy are usually worse when Im trying to sleep or take a nap. Im not sleeping well at all because of this and Im not sure what to do.Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Should I go see my doctor? Thanks for listening! ramakentesh
You have hypovolumia? Is that a confirmed diagnosis? resting heart rate elevation can happen in all forms of POTS prettymuch, but some are particularly suspectible to it - there is some cross over between Hyper POTS and inappropriate sinus tachycardia - where antibodies attach to beta receptors. The good thing is that it generally improves and doesnt seem to cause any harm. There is also a form of POTS called Low Flow POTS - definately worth checking out - particularly if you suffer cold feet and hands, and have a low Body mass index.
