gertie
What is it about Dys that causes me to be so tired? I hardly have the energy to lift my arms. I had a stressful day yesterday & 2/da I can hardly move. Is this "normal" with Dys? thanks.
flop
Unfortunately a large number of dysautonomics experience severe fatigue, often out of proportion to the physical tasks that we have done.
ajw4790
Hi,Yeah, I can also relate to this feeling. I think it is at least in part to that we go too far and overexert or stress our bodies and we take a lot longer to get back to baseline. Also, for many of us it would take less stress or overexertion to wipe us out, than what would be needed to get any kind of reaction out of non-dysautonomics.All we can do is try to find the triggers and avoid them.Have you started or changed meds recently? Some meds can magnify fatigue, especially during transitional times.
medicalenigma
since joining this forum not too long ago, i learned that many people w/ dys.. have severe fatigue, but not all... in my case, my fatigue (mental and physical) is crippling and i become exhausted easily. pat57
The muscles need oxygen and so does the brain. We have impaired blood flow. With Tach the heart is beating so fast it doesn't fill or empty fully. With brady its slow. There is blood pooling also , so less blood circulating. gertie
Thanks everyone. The summer heat is not helping this situation either. My heart feels like it is either about to stop or is pounding in my chest.
